Job Purpose

The HCM Product Owner ensures that Dayforce is running at optimum performance and provides the capability and availability essential to meet the requirements of FAC and our firms, along with managing the integrity, security, and reliability of the system and information.

This position will lead the HCM strategy for our system by evaluating, analyzing, implementing, and administering solutions that leverage technologies and the use of data and analytics to drive business improvements, maximize organizational and HR performance, and drive alignment to overall business strategy.


Primary Responsibilities:

Lead

  • Ensure engagement and commitment to FAC’s Mission and Values.
  • Deliver an effective and efficient HCM with an emphasis on a high level of client service.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies and regulations, as well as best practices for data management and governance.
  • Provide training and guidance on how to use the HRIS system effectively and efficiently.
  • Drive growth with goals and objectives and by providing timely guidance and feedback on roles, responsibilities, and performance.


HCM, Reporting, Processes

  • Subject Matter Expert of HCM.
  • Oversee and maintain system access.
  • Manage relationship between FAC and Dayforce as well as any consulting relationships established, ensuring high-quality of service delivery to firms.
  • Manage and maintain the integrity of the HCM system, including data input, validation, reporting, back up and restore processes, and EDI file feeds.
  • Lead the change management process by maintaining exhaustive records of feature requests, raised issues, test results, and configuration changes.
  • Support user adoption by employees and managers through training, and communication.
  • Lead audits of employee data to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Manage deployments of HCM system updates. Research and evaluate new features and enhancements of the HRIS system, and recommend and implement solutions to improve the user experience and business outcomes.
  • Project lead in design, new applications, services requested.
  • Develop and deliver HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to support HR and business objectives.
  • Adapt the reporting and analytics portfolio of the HCM to account for evolving data schema and client needs.
  • Collaborate with IT to manage system upgrades, integrations, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR and Payroll & Benefit teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data and payroll transactions. This includes troubleshooting as needed.
  • Partner with IT to design, implement, and optimize the JIRA Service Management ticketing system for internal Dayforce requests, including building structured forms, defining required fields, and creating workflows for specific request types to ensure efficient intake and resolution.
  • Maintain an HCM technology watch and propose and qualify new features to solve ongoing business challenges.
  • Maintain documentation of processes and develop new procedures.
  • Run impact analyses for proposed configuration changes and make recommendations on deployment sequences based on the results.
  • Oversee support tickets.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in HCM and HR analytics.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration, information systems, management of computer systems, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in HRIS administration, configuration, and reporting, preferably with Ceridian or Dayforce HRIS.
  • Experience in software configuration, implementation, and change management operations.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll, benefits, and human resources reporting requirements across the United States, including EEOC and PPACA.
  • Very effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and with audiences having various levels of technical expertise.
  • Very strong working knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices, and how they relate to HRIS functionality and data.
  • Proficient in Power BI, Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and SQL.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Extensive experience with business requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and software issue resolution techniques.
  • Experience with configuration, enhancements, upgrades, testing and post-production support to trouble-shoot issues in Dayforce with some technical expertise as well as functional experience.
  • Broad knowledge of programming languages and techniques, and data privacy practices and laws.

  • Work is normally performed in a hybrid office environment
