What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procedure Room Tech position at FABEN OBGYN?
The all-women practice FABEN OBGYN is growing! Our staff is expanding and we are seeking a Surgical Room Tech.
Preferred candidate will have experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Candidate should have 4-5 years experience with myosures, ablations, hysteroscopies, LEEP and dilation & curettage.
Experience with Athena EMR is a plus.

Qualifications:
1. Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist program
2. Has at least 4 years of professional clinical practice as a Surgical Tech on the floor in the United States.
Functions:
1. Perform all responsibilities in a manner that demonstrates excellence towards patients, physicians, peers, and other departments.
2. Maintain technical skills to serve patient population.
3. Prepare procedure room with appropriate instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
4. Demonstrate and practice a good understanding of sterile technique.
5. Assume responsibility for upholding policies and procedures of the department and organization.
6. Communicate effectively with patients, staff and physicians.
7. Travel to different office locations as needed.
8. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Ability and Skills Required:
1. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
2. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of anatomy relating to surgical procedure and the instrumentation required in order to effectively anticipate the needs of the physician.
3. Ability to set priorities and respond appropriately to actual and or potential life-threatening situations.
