CNC Machinist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling and turning equipment to produce high-quality, precision components. The ideal candidate will be able to read engineering drawings, work with GD&T, select appropriate tooling, set machine offsets, and maintain tight dimensional tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or CNC lathes.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding, speeds, and feeds.
• Set tool and work offsets and make machine adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Work with CNC programs and perform minor program edits when required.
• Maintain tooling and equipment and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Produce prototype, short-run, and precision components efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of CNC machining experience preferred.
• Strong experience operating and setting up CNC milling and/or turning equipment.
• Ability to independently set up CNC machines.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with Haas or similar CNC equipment is a plus.
• Familiarity with CAM software is preferred.
• Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, hardened materials, or exotic alloys is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
