Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations and ensure construction projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards.
The Superintendent will supervise subcontractors and field personnel, coordinate with project stakeholders, monitor progress, and resolve issues throughout the construction process.
A clean driving record is required. A company vehicle will be provided, and the employee will report directly from home to project sites each day. Projects are generally located throughout the south-central Alabama region, with Andalusia as the central area. The territory may include Slocomb, Dothan, Ozark, Troy, Greenville, Monroeville, Atmore, Florala, and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise daily on-site construction activities, including subcontractors and field personnel.
- Ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments to keep projects on schedule.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Identify and resolve construction issues, conflicts, and field challenges.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
- Communicate project status, issues, and progress updates to management and project teams.
- Promote and enforce OSHA and company safety standards on the jobsite.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar construction field leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and jobsite practices.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and construction safety requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple jobsite activities and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel between project sites throughout the assigned service area.
