Eye Communications
Hartland, WI Full Time
POSTED ON 4/14/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 6/11/2026

About Us

We are a growing, independently owned pet food manufacturing company focused on one simple mission: helping pets live longer, healthier lives through real food.

Eye Communications is the parent company behind multiple pet health brands, including Herbsmith, The Simple Food Project, Wisconsin Freeze Dried, Smiling Dog Treats, Sassy Cat Treats, and Medicus Veterinary Diets. Across these brands, we develop supplements, freeze-dried foods, and veterinary diets focused on real ingredients, quality manufacturing, and better outcomes for pets.

We manufacture in-house and care deeply about quality, safety, and doing things the right way.

We are not a corporate environment. We are hands-on, fast-moving, and constantly improving — and we are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow alongside us.

The Role

We are looking for an individual to support our day-to-day quality processes and help ensure our products and facility meet our internal standards.

This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role where you will spend time both on the production floor and working with documentation. You will work closely with our team to support quality, cleanliness, organization, and compliance efforts as we continue building toward SQF and EU certifications.

This role is a great fit for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, take ownership of their work, and grow within quality or operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods
  • Help identify and report quality issues or inconsistencies to the team
  • Support GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety standards, and overall facility cleanliness
  • Walk the facility to help ensure sanitation, organization, and proper handling practices are being followed
  • Maintain accurate and organized quality records, including logs, checklists, and batch documentation
  • Review documentation for completeness and help ensure traceability
  • Assist in tracking quality incidents, returns, or customer concerns
  • Support follow-up and documentation of corrective actions
  • Help prepare for audits with your manager
  • Ensure SOPs are being followed and assist with updates as processes improve
  • Support training and reinforcement of quality procedures with team members
  • Assist in reviewing incoming materials and tracking supplier documentation such as COAs
  • Help track basic quality metrics and support reporting efforts

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and takes pride in doing things the right way
  • Comfortable working both on the production floor and with documentation
  • Willing to learn and ask questions
  • Proactive and able to take initiative when something needs attention
  • Reliable and able to follow through

Preferred Qualifications

  • Very clean and organized
  • Some experience in food manufacturing, production, or a regulated environment (a plus, not required)
  • Familiarity with GMP or food safety practices (a plus, not required)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Why This Role is a Great Opportunity

This is an opportunity to:

  • Gain hands-on experience in quality, compliance, and operations
  • Learn about food safety systems and manufacturing processes
  • Work closely with leadership and be part of a growing company
  • Build a foundation for long-term growth in quality or operations

We are looking for someone who wants to learn, contribute, and grow with us.
