What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Associate position at Eye Associates of Lancaster?
Our high-volume, multi-physician ophthalmology practice is seeking a skilled, organized, and motivated billing associate to join our team. The billing associate will work with existing staff to complete and process both electronic and paper claims, review patient charts, and perform quality assurance reviews. Medical office billing/coding experience is required, including:
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Proficiency in medical coding, including DRG, CPT, ICD-10
- Familiarity with medical records management
- Experience with medical collections and billing processes
This position is primarily desk-based, but does also include a fair amount of going up and down stairs, retrieving patient paper charts, and working within the Nextech software system.
This position will be starting as part-time (2 to 3 days per week), with potential for growth into full-time (5 days per week).
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
