Director of Finance

A leading financial services organization is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to align financial strategy with broader business objectives. Working closely with senior executive leadership, this position will lead business level financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
The Director will provide financial leadership across major operating channels and support functions, driving initiatives focused on sustainable growth, operational efficiency, cost management, and long term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting, long term financial planning, and forecasting across assigned business units.
- Develop a deep understanding of business operations, systems, and technologies to provide meaningful financial insights.
- Evaluate strategic opportunities related to revenue growth, operational efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Assess the financial viability of key programs and monitor performance against budgets, timelines, and expected benefits.
- Design and implement scalable processes within Finance and partner functions, including Legal, Product, Technology, and Human Resources.
- Serve as a strategic partner and change leader for business level projects and transformation initiatives.
- Coordinate across production, operations, support functions, and corporate leadership to maintain alignment and effective communication.
- Identify operational challenges, lead root cause analysis, interpret findings, and deliver data driven recommendations.
- Represent Finance on cross functional initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and corporate governance standards.
- Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, risks, and opportunities to business unit leaders and C-suite executives.
- Advise senior leadership on high impact financial opportunities and business challenges.
- Manage multiple high priority projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing finance team.
- Champion continuous improvements to financial systems, processes, reporting tools, accuracy, and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- At least 10 years of relevant finance or related business experience.
- Five or more years of management experience preferred.
- Financial services industry experience required.
- Mortgage industry experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and executive reporting.
- Strong business partnering, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule from one of the listed locations.

Salary : $160,000 - $190,000
