Now Hiring: Mortgage Loan Closing Specialist
Location: West Allis, WI (On-site)
Pay Range: $24-$32/hr per hour, depending on experience
Are you an experienced mortgage lending professional with strong attention to detail, a commitment to compliance, and a passion for helping a team succeed? We’re looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Mortgage Loan Closing Specialist / Team Lead to join our team in West Allis, Wisconsin!
In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant loan closings while collaborating with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and other internal and external partners. You’ll also help mentor team members, support process improvements, and maintain compliance with applicable lending regulations.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with loan processors, loan officers, and underwriters to ensure successful and timely loan closings.
- Prepare closing documents for purchase, refinance, construction, and consumer mortgage loans using Mortgagebot/IDS or LaserPro.
- Review loan files for completeness and ensure documentation aligns with underwriting approvals before preparing closing packages.
- Monitor high-cost loan requirements and TRID compliance, including Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure accuracy and adherence to applicable tolerance rules.
- Maintain current knowledge of secondary mortgage lending, government loan programs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Resolve complex issues independently in collaboration with the Compliance Department and legal counsel.
- Train, mentor, and provide leadership and guidance to new and existing team members.
- Assist with implementing new policies and procedures and maintaining an up-to-date department procedures manual.
- Ensure accurate and efficient preparation and delivery of loan documents.
- Complete HMDA information accurately for assigned loan files.
- Assist with post-closing activities and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Communicate proactively and professionally with all parties involved in the loan closing process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
