Part Time Child Care Worker

Extended Hours Program is looking to add valuable members to our team!

​We are currently seeking motivated staff to work in our before and after school programs.

Morning shifts are from 6:15am - school release (approximately 8:45am)

Afternoon shifts on Mon - Thu are from 3:40 - 6:00pm and Fri. afternoon shifts are from 1:40pm - 6:00pm.

Our programs offer part time hours with flexible scheduling to provide before and after school care to children during the school week, as well as the potential for full time hours during non-school days such as teacher work days, holiday breaks, and Summer Camps

Our staff provide safe, fun, and enriching care for school aged children at elementary schools in the Grand Valley. Our staff members have the opportunity to create meaningful impacts in children's lives and offer essential care for working parents.

​Staff hired will be required to complete all Federal and State required background checks, fingerprinting, and additional staff development requirements as set forth by the state of Colorado and our company policies.

Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Implement planned age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and activities.
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians
- Follow established routines and schedules
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all children and staff

Requirements:
- (Preferred but not required) Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to engage and educate children through play and interactive experiences
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment for children
- Classroom management skills to ensure a structured and organized setting

Skills:
- Experience with children of different ages (preferred but not required)
- Special education knowledge (preferred but not required)
- Classroom management experience (preferred but not required)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
