Job Summary
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for a team of direct labor employees focused on Safety, Quality, throughput, and culture of a work cell or cells.

Role & Responsibilities
- Will oversee the Operations environment supporting Extant Aerospace’s manufacturing facility.
- Support high mix, low volume electronics assembly and test facility
- Lead team through successful development and execution of monthly plans to meet and exceed schedule, revenue, and cost requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, equipment, and subcontractors
- Develop and stretch the team
- Responsible for establishing optimum utilization of available resources through efficient manpower management
- Utilize statistical analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in processes
- Implementing open communication and continuous improvement
- Improving standards and processes in all phases of the operations cycle
- Support the development of new methods, processes, and equipment and apply them to the manufacturing operation for productivity gains
Minimum Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, plus a minimum of 5 years direct industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
- Strong analytical skills required e.g., demonstrated ability to take data from varying sources, analyse, interpret, and use to make business decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
