The Expressive Design Group is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and experienced print professional to join our team in our Holyoke, MA office. The Production Artist will play a key role in supporting our design team by formatting, processing, and uploading print-ready files for overseas production.
This role requires a strong problem solver and effective communicator with exceptional attention to detail and a high level of motivation. The ideal candidate is able to recognize the potential in each project and ensure accuracy throughout the production process. You will apply your expertise in print production to create clean, precise, press-ready packaging mechanicals based on provided specifications. The Production Artist must be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and consistency. Our team works across a wide range of products—from in-house market lines to custom client requests—requiring adaptability and a keen eye for detail.
This is a full-time, in-house position. The ideal candidate is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), comfortable working on a Mac platform, and experienced in developing and assembling mock-ups.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in production, graphic design or a related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office
- Experience with packaging production, releasing print-ready files, and completing Excel specification sheets
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and precise, with a strong focus on technical pre-production processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive, team-oriented mindset
- Proactive, forward-thinking, and collaborative approach to work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders
