Location: South Sacramento, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Onsite
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (DOE)
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support a construction company in South Sacramento. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience with payroll, invoicing, and construction accounting.
Responsibilities

• Perform high-volume data entry and maintain accurate financial records
• Process and manage high-volume invoicing and billing activities
• Handle full-cycle payroll for up to 25 employees (hourly, salary, and commission-based)
• Assist with prevailing wage payroll processing and compliance
• Maintain records in QuickBooks and support general accounting functions
• Reconcile accounts and assist with reporting as needed
• Perform additional administrative and accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 5 years of bookkeeping experience required
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and payroll processing required
• Experience in construction accounting and prevailing wage strongly preferred
• Ability to process payroll for multiple employee types (hourly, salary, commission)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
