Position Summary

The Electromechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling electromechanical control systems, hydraulic components, and pneumatic systems in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions. This role involves wiring termination, equipment assembly, testing, inspection, and verification of completed products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards before release.

  • Wage: $20/hr (Possibly higher based on experience)
  • Schedule: First Shift; Monday-Thursday 7am-3:30pm and Friday 6am-2:30pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and workplace standards at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and support department objectives.
  • Assemble subcomponents and final products using engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Install and terminate electrical wiring, hydraulic components, and pneumatic controls.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, taps, wrenches, tape measures, squares, pry bars, pneumatic tools, and other assembly equipment.
  • Operate shop equipment such as drill presses, hydraulic presses, and band saws safely and effectively.
  • Perform testing and inspection of completed assemblies to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Document inspection and test results as required by quality management procedures.
  • Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials, process deviations, and safety concerns.
  • Stop work and escalate concerns when product quality, safety, or compliance may be compromised.
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16-inch increments.

  • Previous education, training, or hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:- Electrical systems

    • Plumbing
    • Hydraulic controls
    • Mechanical repair
    • Industrial machinery maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret blueprints and assembly instructions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of electromechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
  • Experience using overhead cranes and hoists.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when business needs require.
  • Reliable attendance and dependability.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Manufacturing and production shop-floor environment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motion throughout the workday.
  • Regular lifting, carrying, and moving of materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Daily use of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment, including drill presses, hydraulic presses, and band saws.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety training and workplace safety requirements.
