Position Overview:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the production process for graphics projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic production, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Management:
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all stages of graphics production, from initial design to final output.
  • Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
  • Monitor and control production costs, including materials and labor.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of finished products.
• Team Leadership:
  • Lead and manage a team of production staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Train and mentor team members on production techniques and best practices.
• Client and Vendor Relations:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates throughout the production process.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to procure materials and equipment.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts related to production and ensure client satisfaction.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to incorporate new methods and materials into production.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections of production areas and equipment to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Production Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphics production, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of graphic production processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD programs).
• Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.

Work Environment:

• The role is primarily based in a production facility with occasional office work.
• Exposure to various production equipment and materials.
