Responsibilities:
Create and manage Source Package documents.
Support Mopar Purchasing to review suppliers’ technical submissions and select suppliers.
Design and release new Accessories for Body and Exterior commodities.
Support component supplier development activities as needed.
Support component and vehicle prototype efforts to demonstrate early proof of concept.
Host weekly engineering development meetings with the supplier and Mopar team members.
Lead vehicle and system-level testing for assigned projects.
Approve Engineering PPAP documents (Drawings, Dimensional, Validation).
Track and manage projects for on-time launch.
Lead change management of assigned components as needed.
Manage root cause analysis of assigned quality issues, tracked through GIMs.
Manage Cost Savings initiatives of assigned components (technical and commercial).
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Metal Design (Forging, Casting, Stamping) and GD&T a plus.
