Our client located in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a Temporary Sr. IT Help Desk Technician to assist with a 60-90 day project.
Schedule: 9:00am-5:00pm
Hourly Rate: $25.00-$27.00
Job Summary:
The Senior IT Help Desk Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of IT systems throughout our manufacturing facility. This position provides advanced technical support, resolves complex hardware and software issues, and ensures compliance with FDA, HIPAA, and ISO 13485 standards. The ideal candidate will also act as a mentor to junior technicians and a cross-functional team collaborator.
Key Responsibilities
Act as escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2 support issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues involving:
Desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
Support specialized manufacturing systems, such as:
ERP, MES, and LIMS.
Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, and knowledge base articles.
Enforce compliance with internal IT policies and external regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with teams across Quality, Engineering, and Operations.
Handle employee onboarding/offboarding including account provisioning and hardware setup.
Participate in audits and support computerized system validations.
Provide after-hours support for critical systems as required.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of IT support experience, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Proficient in:
Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365
Networking fundamentals
Experience using IT ticketing systems (e.g., Track-It).
Familiar with compliance standards: FDA, HIPAA, GxP.
Industry certifications such as:
CompTIA A , Network , Security
Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., IQMS, SAP, Oracle) and manufacturing-related software.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
