About the Role:
As a Refrigeration Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing ammonia-based refrigeration systems within a fast-paced frozen food manufacturing environment. You'll ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently, following IIAR, ASHRAE standards, and all applicable building codes and safety regulations.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate, inspect, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on compressors (ammonia and air), boilers, pumps, fans, HVAC units, and electrical controls.
- Conduct inspections to identify and troubleshoot malfunctions. Support capital refrigeration projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Test and maintain fire prevention and emergency response equipment.
- Assist with general building maintenance tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC/refrigeration, with a strong preference for ammonia system experience.
- A well-rounded technician comfortable with both hands-on work and the administrative/technical side of maintenance.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills—you’ll work with individuals of various backgrounds and skill sets.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage preventative maintenance schedules, and respond to urgent repairs effectively.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Salary : $30 - $40
