Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified HVAC Service Technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment across various property types. The successful candidate will diagnose system issues, perform repairs, and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. This role involves working with various mechanical and electrical components to maintain optimal indoor climate conditions across different property types. The technician will follow safety procedures and industry standards while providing reliable service to support building operations.

Responsibilities

·         Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical systems.

·         Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and design documents to accurately diagnose issues.

·         Perform mechanical repairs such as component replacement, adjustments, welding, and system calibration.

·         Use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and testing devices to identify electrical or mechanical faults.

·         Maintain detailed service records documenting work performed, parts used, and system conditions for compliance and future reference.

·         Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to uphold safety standards.

·         Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations governing refrigerants and other hazardous materials.

Requirements

·         Proven experience as an HVAC technician with knowledge of heating, cooling, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.

·         Practical skills in repairing heat pumps, rooftop units, boilers, cooling towers, and chillers.

·         Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics; familiarity with electrical testing equipment.

·         Mechanical aptitude with experience in plumbing, boiler operation, or appliance maintenance.

·         Knowledge of safety procedures related to refrigerants and environmental regulations.

·         Valid driver’s license with a clean record; ability to operate company vehicles safely.

·         EPA Certification is required.

·         Preferred qualifications include welding skills or experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
