Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Installer and Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installers and Maintenance Technicians to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal comfort and efficiency for our clients. Duties

• Install new HVAC systems including heat pumps, air conditioning units, boilers, furnaces, and IAQ components according to schematics and design specifications.
• Perform system troubleshooting and repairs on existing HVAC equipment, ensuring proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify issues within electrical systems and mechanical components.
• Read and interpret HVAC design documents to facilitate accurate installations and repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance on residential (and some commercial) HVAC equipment including filters, belts, refrigerant levels, and mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns.
• Recommend repairs and upgrades when appropriate.
• Ensure all work complies with EPA regulations related to refrigerant handling and environmental standards while maintaining documentation.
• Use hand tools, plumbing tools, electrical testers, and other equipment efficiently to complete installations and repairs safely.
• Communicate with management and property owners to coordinate service visits and address client needs promptly.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for accountability and future reference.

Skills

• Excellent communication, team collaboration and positive attitude
• Installation and maintenance technician experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems including installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; understanding electrical systems within HVAC units.
• Knowledge of refrigeration principles, plumbing connections, and electrical wiring.
• Experience working with HVAC design plans to ensure precise system installation aligned with specifications.
• Ability to operate hand tools efficiently; experience with equipment troubleshooting is highly valued.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required; additional certifications in HVAC or plumbing are a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
