We are seeking an experienced Director, Utility-Scale Solar Construction to lead a portfolio of large-scale, utility-scale solar projects. This senior leadership role will oversee construction strategy, project execution, teams, contractors, and key project partners from pre-construction through completion.
The ideal candidate will be a proven construction leader with experience managing complex projects and high-performing teams, ideally within utility-scale solar, renewable energy, power, or infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead construction strategy and execution across multiple utility-scale projects.
- Manage and develop Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and other construction professionals.
- Oversee General Contractors, EPC partners, engineering firms, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and risk.
- Drive safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance across the project portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and strategic partners.
- Lead projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.
- Establish and improve construction processes, standards, and best practices.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in construction project management or development.
- Experience with large-scale, complex construction projects; utility-scale solar or renewable energy strongly preferred.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing contractors and multiple projects.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, project controls, scheduling, cost management, and risk.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
