What's the Job?
- Review, access, and optimize the intake process for new hardware and software/firmware releases into the WiFi network systems architecture.
- Evaluate network architecture change implementation plans, review or develop Method of Procedures (MOPs), and enhance processes for compatibility and alignment within the WiFi network.
- Track progress of WiFi network releases, report on progress, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to improve handover and implementation procedures.
- Define intake requirements and templates for various departmental submissions to Release Management, ensuring clarity and efficiency.
- Proficient knowledge of wireless networking concepts, including OSI Model, TCP/IP, and related standards.
- Hands-on experience with modern WiFi network elements such as Wireless Access Gateway (WAG), AAA functions, WiFi controllers, firewalls, switches, routers, and access points.
- Strong understanding of WiFi network architecture, protocols, and topology, along with data center and cloud-based architectures.
- Experience working with carrier-grade WiFi equipment from vendors like Nokia, Cisco, Ericsson, or Ruckus.
- Educational background with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience with 5 years in wireless network support.
