What's the Job?
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of systems engineering activities related to DB2 z/OS environments.
- Provide technical support for DB2 z/OS systems, including performance tuning, disaster recovery, and data sharing.
- Assist in establishing input/output processes and hardware compatibility for complex subsystems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of data center components.
- Serve as a proficient technical resource, influencing and guiding team activities on special initiatives and operational tasks.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in systems programming, specifically with DB2 z/OS environments.
- Proficiency with SMP/E, Db2 for z/OS V13, Data Sharing, Performance and Tuning, and Disaster Recovery.
- Experience with Db2 Data Replication, including IIDR (Q Replication, CDC, DPropR).
- Knowledge of Db2 Connect Universal Edition and distributed connection methods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
