Job Title: Product Owner (Accounting & Regulatory Reporting)

Key Responsibilities
- Own product capabilities related to loan accounting and regulatory reporting within Commercial Banking.
- Define and manage requirements around:
- Committed vs. uncommitted loan volumes
- Loan balances, accruals, and accounting treatments
- Regulatory reporting variations across jurisdictions
- Partner with Accounting, Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure:
- Alignment with accounting principles
- Regulatory accuracy and audit readiness
- Translate accounting and regulatory requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Provide clear, simple explanations to technology teams on why data must be recorded and reported in specific ways.
- Support transformation initiatives digitizing legacy accounting and reporting processes.
- Act as the subject‑matter expert for accounting and regulatory aspects of lending products.
- Strong accounting expertise (required), demonstrated through one or more of the following:
- Master’s degree in Accounting
- Prior experience as an accountant who transitioned into product or technology
- Commercial Banking experience with a strong accounting foundation
- Deep understanding of Commercial Banking loan products.
- Experience with loan accounting, including committed vs. uncommitted exposures.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting and how requirements vary by jurisdiction.
- Experience working closely with Risk, Legal, and Compliance partners.
- Strong Product Owner or Business Execution experience in Agile environments.
- Experience building or modernizing accounting systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar platforms)
- Experience on the BPO, regulatory reporting, or compliance side
- Exposure to reverse factoring or supply‑chain finance products
