Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Crimes Risk Assessment Lead to join their team. As a key member of the Risk Management department supporting the Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) program, you will play a vital role in designing and executing comprehensive risk assessments to meet regulatory standards and internal governance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Lead and enhance Wells Fargo’s Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) program through the design and execution of enterprise-wide and targeted risk assessments (TRAs).
  • Drive strategic alignment of TRA methodology with the Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA), ensuring scalability, flexibility, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the development of risk assessment inputs, validation processes, evidence repositories, scoring, heat maps, and reporting templates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality, timely reports that support enterprise strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Support knowledge transfer activities and transition responsibilities to the permanent team, ensuring sustainability of risk assessment processes.


What's Needed?

  • 7 years of experience in Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, or Corruption roles, demonstrated through work experience, training, or education.
  • Deep understanding of AML, Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption risk assessments and controls.
  • Experience in Financial Crimes Risk Management, including regulatory expectations and controls for new products and business initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to influence stakeholders and support organizational change initiatives.
