Computer Hardware Data Center Technician

What's the Job?
- Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment, following specific instructions and safety protocols.
- Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, quickly identifying causes and performing break-fix repairs on faulty components.
- Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds.
- Monitor systems for equipment failures or errors and respond to program error messages effectively.
- Computer Science majors or certifications such as CompTIA A or Server .
- Experience as a Data Center Technician, with hardware break-fix responsibilities.
- Previous experience with computer repair roles, such as Geek Squad or similar.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
