What's the Job?
- Provide practical, business-focused legal advice across the organization and its affiliates, supporting day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including services, consulting, supply, vendor, and data processing agreements.
- Support legal review and governance of privacy, data protection, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
- Partner with the Grants Program Administrator and research teams to support grantmaking activities, review agreements, and develop policies.
- Conduct and coordinate reviews of business processes and policies for legal and regulatory compliance, providing risk mitigation guidance.
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and active Pennsylvania Bar Admission or eligibility for a limited In-House Corporate Counsel License.
- 5–7 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in-house, with demonstrated experience negotiating and drafting commercial contracts.
- Working knowledge of privacy and data protection principles, with familiarity with vendor management programs preferred.
- Experience with AI and emerging technology legal issues is preferred, along with general corporate law experience.
- Strong legal judgment, professionalism, discretion, and excellent interpersonal skills.
