This is a unique, high-impact role that requires a recruiter who can think and operate strategically. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and recruiting top talent who will bring a consultative, client-focused mindset that aligns with the organization’s culture and business objectives.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pasadena, CA. The role is strategically structured to be split between Recruitment (approximately 70%) and HR Support (approximately 30%), with flexibility to adjust based on organizational priorities. The individual in this role will take ownership of recruitment initiatives while also providing hands-on HR support, requiring strong judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000 per year DOE

Talent Acquisition & Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Execute full-cycle recruitment, including defining the search strategy, creating targeted advertisements, and managing candidate activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives, utilizing creative, non-traditional channels to overcome recruiting challenges and generate a strong, diverse candidate pipeline.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial phone/virtual screenings, facilitate the interview process, administer appropriate assessments/references, and coordinate with hiring managers to ensure effective candidate experience.
- Develop relationships and establish talent pipelines through partnerships with colleges, universities, and attendance at career fairs, networking, and industry events. Promote the company brand to attract, influence, and convert top talent.
- Adhere to application/resume file and retention policies according to State and Federal policies, ensuring practices comply with EEOC guidelines and employment laws.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and provide regular reports on Recruitment/HR activities to the leadership team.
- Assist in maintaining accurate employee records, HR databases, and physical files.
- Perform periodic audits to ensure all required documentation is collected and filed appropriately.
- Act as an additional resource for employee inquiries, helping resolve workplace concerns, and maintaining confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
- Support employee engagement initiatives (e.g., surveys, events) and assist in coordinating HR training and programs.
- Assist in Recruitment and HR process improvement initiatives to create and implement consistent processes and practices.
- Assist with internal/external audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Payroll Support on an as-needed basis.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including tasks related to human resources, recruiting, and company/department initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction at all organizational levels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws, with knowledge of CA labor laws and regulations being essential.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or related software.
- Knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems; experience with Gusto is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience as a full-cycle recruiter.
- 3 years of relevant experience in Human Resources or a related field.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Able to complete satisfactory Live Scan background screening and TB clearance.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
- Special Education (SPED) industry experience is a plus but not required.
