Smoke Shop Sales Associate

Job Description

We are looking for an outgoing, knowledgeable, and customer focused Sales Associate to join our growing team. This role is much more than running a register, you'll be the face of our store and a trusted resource for customers looking for guidance on smoke and vape products.

The ideal candidate is passionate about the industry, enjoys building relationships with customers, and has hands-on knowledge of vape devices, disposable vapes, e-liquids, glass, cigars, wraps, nicotine products, hemp-derived products, kratom, and other smoking accessories. We are looking for someone who can confidently educate customers, make product recommendations, and deliver an exceptional shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer with a friendly, professional attitude and provide outstanding customer service.
• Build lasting customer relationships by understanding each customer's needs and recommending products that best fit their preferences.
• Educate customers on product features, proper usage, and differences between brands and product types.
• Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately using our POS system.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, new arrivals, and industry trends.
• Recommend complementary products and accessories to enhance the customer experience while increasing sales.
• Answer customer questions in person and over the phone with professionalism and confidence.
• Keep the sales floor, displays, and checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, and restocking products throughout the day.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain an efficient, welcoming, and compliant retail environment.
• Verify customer age and follow all company policies and applicable tobacco and vape regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Knowledge of smoke shop and vape products is required. Applicants should be comfortable discussing vape devices, disposables, e-liquids, glass, cigars, wraps, nicotine products, hemp-derived products, kratom, and smoking accessories.
• Previous experience working in a smoke shop, vape shop, or retail sales environment is strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable educating customers and making product recommendations based on their needs.
• Experience operating POS systems and handling cash accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
