Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Conduct product demos to highlight features and benefits, enhancing customer engagement and driving sales
- Assist with merchandising efforts to keep displays attractive, organized, and aligned with store standards
- Stock shelves and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability and freshness in a grocery store setting
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations with precision during cashiering duties
- Upsell relevant products by identifying customer needs and suggesting complementary items to increase sales volume
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions
- Previous supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
- Strong communication skills to connect effectively with diverse customers.
- Knowledge of retail math, and merchandising techniques
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone
- Ability to perform retail sales tasks confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
