Develop and implement manual and automated test cases/suites creating comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with scrum members and cross-functional teams to design test strategies and plans.
- Execute and analyze automated tests, identifying and documenting defects.
- Test defect fixes and new functionality as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing process and methodologies
- 7 years of experience as an SDET designing, building, and maintaining QA automation around traditional client server products.
- Proven experience in QA automation and software testing.
- Proficiency in Python (required), Java, and scripting languages for test automation.
- Excellent understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience using test automation frameworks such as PyTest, JUnit, TestNG, Robot Framework, etc.
- Networking skills including a good understanding of TCP/IP, knowledge in protocols (DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, 802.1x), familiarity with network equipment configuration (switch/router/firewall), low-level network monitoring and sniffing (sniffers experience), and Windows-based networks with domain management a plus.
- Experience with network automation and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with API testing is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal processes, limited guidance, and focused on productivity.
- Familiar with Test Management Tools, such as TestRail, and Project Management tools such as JIRA.
- Comfortable with various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
- Experience providing and maintaining complex, automated regression tests.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software and network issues logically and analytically.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
