We are seeking an Accounting Manager who will report directly to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for overseeing everyday accounting operations with a strong focus on Accounts Receivables. This person will manage the accounting staff and workflow, manager A/R and A/P, inventory & manufacturing accounting, government contract compliance, general accounting & reporting and system process improvement.
Duties
:• Oversee and manage all A/R and A/P functions, including generating, reviewing, an
ddistributing customer invoices in a timely manner
.• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on collections to ensure promp
tpayment
.• Review and approve AP transactions, ensuring accurate coding, proper authorization
,and timely vendor payments
.• Manage the AR/AP workflow within the QAD ERP system; batch review and postin
gof transactions
.• Maintain vendor and customer account records with accuracy and integrity
.• Oversee inventory accounting in a manufacturing environment, including ra
wmaterials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods
.• Perform and coordinate periodic physical inventory counts and cycle counts
;investigate and resolve variances
.• Ensure accurate cost accounting for manufactured products, including labor, materials
,and overhead allocations.• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity in the QAD ERP system
.• Support DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) and DCMA (Defense Contract Managemen
tAgency) audits, including preparation of required documentation and acting as a liaison durin
gaudit engagements
.• Prepare and/or review Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) in accordance with FAR/DFAR
Srequirements
.• Develop and maintain provisional indirect cost rates and support forward pricing rat
eproposals
.• Ensure all financial records and practices are maintained in compliance with DCA
Aregulations, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and applicable government contractin
grequirements
.• Monitor government contract revenue recognition, billing milestones, and contract financia
lperformance
.• Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation and review of manua
ljournal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
.• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
.• Perform bank reconciliations and cash accounting on a regular basis
.• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
.• Prepare and distribute special financial reports and analysis as requested by the Director o
fFinance or senior leadership
.• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles across all accounting functions
