Job Function
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily on-site construction activities for commercial and multifamily projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and multiple trades to ensure work is completed according to project plans and schedules.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules while identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, workmanship, and compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Enforce site safety policies and OSHA requirements, including conducting safety meetings and addressing unsafe conditions.
- Coordinate inspections, deliveries, site logistics, and communication between the field team, project management, architects, engineers, and owners.
- Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications and identify and resolve field conflicts or construction issues.
- Track project progress, maintain daily reports, document site conditions, and communicate project updates to the project management team.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar field leadership role.
- Proven experience managing commercial and/or multifamily construction projects.
- Proven experience managing renovations in occupied spaces.
- Experience on projects valued $10 million or higher.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, sequencing, and building codes.
- Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction-site safety practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively lead field personnel in a fast-paced construction environment.
