An established, full-service law firm based in western Nassau County, Long Island, with an additional office in Manhattan, is hiring an Attorney - Trusts & Estates Planning & Administration for its Long Island office working on site.

Position Responsibilities
- Estate & trust planning and preparation and review of estate planning strategies and documents.
- Assist clients, generally high-net-worth families and individuals, with preserving their wealth and administering estates and trusts.
- Prevent client estate or trust assets from being used improperly or without authority, wasted or depleted for taxes or long-term care costs and to creditors.
- Plan for taxes including estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
- Plan for non-tax matters including elder law issues, succession of a business, marital matters, asset protection, and public benefits.
- Assist clients to plan, create and administer charitable giving and foundations.
- Assist with the probate process and administration of estates for trustees and executors.
- Effectively counsel clients in all aforementioned disciplines.
Job Requirements:
- NY JD
- 5 years of estate planning experience for high-net-worth individuals and families.
- Joining with some book of business is a plus but NOT required.
- Strong knowledge and expertise with complex estate planning and related tax planning strategies.
- Reasonably strong experience with estate administration is preferred.
- Must be a self-sufficient self-starter who takes ownership, has a high EQ, can run with a case beginning to end, is able to get passed any learning curve quickly, and possesses outstanding communication skills.
