ROLE SUMMARY: The Coliseum Rodeo Shop Sales Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional and engaging guest shopping experience while supporting daily retail operations. This role focuses on customer service, sales support, and maintaining store presentation standards to reflect the Rodeo Shop brand.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide a welcoming, engaging, and personalized shopping experience for all guests.
- Proactively greet guests within moments of entering the store to create a welcoming environment.
- Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and recommendations to drive sales.
- Build rapport with guests to understand needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Maintain strong product knowledge to effectively promote merchandise and upsell when appropriate.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, including cash handling and processing transactions.
- Support daily store operations, including restocking, merchandising, and maintaining inventory levels.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Assist with receiving shipments and processing new merchandise.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including loss prevention and safety standards.
- Maintain a strong understanding of brand standards to ensure consistency in guest experience.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and deliver a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure coverage during peak business times.
- Address guest questions and resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner, escalating when necessary.
- Demonstrate accountability for individual performance, including attendance, punctuality, and productivity.
- All other duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the retail space, stair case and storage areas for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, lift, carry, and move up to 35 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- May need to climb ladders periodically to clean, store or merchandise higher areas.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully.
- Flexible schedule—must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or guest-focused environments. Western a plus!
- Strong organizational, multitasking and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to learn product knowledge quickly and apply it to sales interactions.
- POS System and cash-handling experience.
