Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will help residents regain and strengthen their communication and swallowing abilities, improving their independence and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech, language, and swallowing therapy programs
- Provide therapy sessions and adjust treatment plans based on resident progress and needs
- Assess and recommend adaptive communication devices when appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive care plans
- Supervise therapy assistants and provide guidance or training as needed
- Participate in resident care conferences and maintain accurate documentation of progress and outcomes
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Florida Speech Language Pathologist license (or eligibility for licensure)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligible
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Passion for delivering compassionate, resident-centered care
