Position: RN Supervisor (Day Shift)

Location: Long Beach, New York

Shift: Full-Time (Day Shift)

Pay Rate: Up to $115,000

Position Overview

Park Avenue Extended Care is seeking an experienced and dedicated RN Supervisor to lead nursing operations on the day shift. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about high-quality resident care and staff development in a skilled nursing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure excellence in resident care
• Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing staff education and in-services
• Collaborate with the Unit Manager to develop and coordinate resident care plans
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and management
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports
• Assess residents daily, oversee new admissions, and ensure physician orders are carried out
• Respond to medical emergencies and make sound clinical decisions
• Investigate and report suspected abuse, neglect, or mistreatment per state guidelines
• Counsel staff on performance and attendance as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Nursing Administration
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current New York State RN license
• BLS/CPR Certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Infection Control Certificate
• NYS Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting Training Certificate
  
  
  

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of nursing home experience with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Experience with Sigma Care or similar EHR systems preferred
