Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing to oversee evening clinical operations
- Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care
- Conduct routine rounds to monitor staff performance and address concerns
- Ensure proper staffing levels for safe and effective care delivery
- Participate in surveys and inspections as needed
- Assist in care planning and discharge planning processes
- Support new admissions and ensure a smooth transition into the facility
- Accompany physicians during rounds as needed
- Oversee medication administration and treatments for compliance and accuracy
- Provide direct patient care and assist with nursing assessments when needed
- Address and escalate staff concerns appropriately
- Assist with performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active and valid RN license in New Jersey
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care, subacute, or geriatric settings
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
- Current CPR certification
