Shift: Full-Time

Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Housekeeping Director to lead and elevate our housekeeping operations at Atrium Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, deep knowledge of healthcare housekeeping standards, and a commitment to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee all housekeeping programs and initiatives.
• Create and maintain housekeeping policies, procedures, job descriptions, and performance evaluations.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with high-quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate housekeeping services with Nursing, Dietary, Activities, and other departments.
• Prepare and submit departmental reports, incident documentation, and corrective action plans.
• Manage staffing levels, including scheduling, assignments, training, and delegation of duties.
• Recruit, evaluate, coach, and discipline housekeeping personnel as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of equipment and personal protective gear.
• Collaborate with Infection Control to maintain sanitation and infection prevention standards.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning products, equipment, and disinfectants.
• Maintain financial records, monitor expenditures, and assist with departmental budget planning.
• Foster team development and a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Participate in facility surveys, inspections, and committee meetings (Infection Control, Safety, QA, etc.).
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping within a nursing home or healthcare facility.
• Strong knowledge of regulated care housekeeping operations.
• Proven ability to plan, manage, and lead a team effectively.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
