Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee all housekeeping programs and initiatives.
- Create and maintain housekeeping policies, procedures, job descriptions, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with high-quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate housekeeping services with Nursing, Dietary, Activities, and other departments.
- Prepare and submit departmental reports, incident documentation, and corrective action plans.
- Manage staffing levels, including scheduling, assignments, training, and delegation of duties.
- Recruit, evaluate, coach, and discipline housekeeping personnel as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of equipment and personal protective gear.
- Collaborate with Infection Control to maintain sanitation and infection prevention standards.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning products, equipment, and disinfectants.
- Maintain financial records, monitor expenditures, and assist with departmental budget planning.
- Foster team development and a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Participate in facility surveys, inspections, and committee meetings (Infection Control, Safety, QA, etc.).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping within a nursing home or healthcare facility.
- Strong knowledge of regulated care housekeeping operations.
- Proven ability to plan, manage, and lead a team effectively.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
- Proficiency in English.
