Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily operations of the Food Services Department, ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery
- Develop, implement, and monitor food service policies and procedures to ensure quality and regulatory compliance
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate departmental staff, promoting a strong work culture and excellence in service
- Collaborate with Nursing, Administration, and other departments to enhance resident care and satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including DOH and CMS standards
- Maintain MSDS records and conduct safety education and training for food service staff
- Manage food purchasing, budgeting, inventory control, and accurate departmental reporting
- Maintain tested recipe libraries and ensure compliance with therapeutic and physician-prescribed diets
- Address resident concerns, dietary issues, incidents, and grievances promptly and professionally
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, resident care planning, and discharge planning as appropriate
- Support the facility during surveys and inspections to ensure readiness and compliance
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Food Service Director in a nursing home or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutrition planning, and regulatory requirements
- Certification: ServeSafe Certified
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skill
