Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director and Associate Director of Nursing to ensure smooth daily operations and regulatory compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to maintain the highest standards of resident care.
- Monitor staffing levels and adjust schedules to maintain safe and effective coverage.
- Conduct regular rounds, provide feedback, and report observations to leadership.
- Assist with state surveys and inspections as needed.
- Support the development and implementation of individualized resident care and discharge plans.
- Address staff concerns, complaints, and grievances in a professional manner.
- Welcome and support residents and families during the admission process.
- Accompany physicians on rounds and oversee accurate medication and treatment administration.
- Provide direct nursing care and assist with resident assessments as needed.
- Participate in evaluations and support professional development of LPNs and CNAs.
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- Active, unrestricted LPN or RN license in Florida.
- At least 2 years of direct care experience in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Current CPR certification.
