Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the nursing department
- Ensure delivery of high-quality care in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Recruit, train, and retain top-tier nursing staff in alignment with staffing standards
- Develop and maintain clinical policies and procedures in accordance with DOH and corporate guidelines
- Oversee staff performance, competencies, and ongoing education initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive optimal resident outcomes
- Address resident concerns, uphold resident rights, and promote a safe, welcoming environment
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and operational efficiency
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (in good standing)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
- Strong knowledge of DOH regulations, CMS standards, infection control, risk management, and QA/QI processes
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills
