Key Responsibilities
- Set up and disinfect dialysis machines according to established protocols
- Assist with initiating and terminating dialysis treatments
- Monitor and accurately document patient vital signs and treatment data
- Assist with patient transfers and provide support during treatments
- Reinforce patient education as directed by the nursing team
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and quality standards
- Perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing and ensure accurate reporting
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
- Ensure informed consent is obtained prior to procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas and equipment
- Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Education: High School Diploma or GED (required)
Experience: Minimum of 3 months of hands-on hemodialysis experience (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong observation and documentation abilities
- Current BLS certification (required)
- BONENT or NNCC certification (required)
