Location: Merritt Island, Florida

Shift: Full-Time | 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Position Summary

Space Coast Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and service-oriented Concierge to enhance the experience of our residents and their families. This key team member will provide a warm welcome, ensure a smooth transition into our community, and deliver ongoing support and hospitality throughout each resident’s stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Admissions to ensure rooms are fully prepared for new residents, including verifying equipment, oxygen, and bed availability.
• Confirm rooms are move-in ready (lights, call bells, TVs working, belongings cleared, and terminal cleaning completed).
• Prepare and deliver welcome baskets with essential items.
• Personally greet and escort residents to their rooms, offering reassurance and comfort.
• Provide support to families, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Respond to call bells, assisting residents directly or notifying staff as needed.
• Follow the grievance process to resolve concerns promptly.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Attend required trainings, meetings, and Resident Council sessions.
• Assist with tours and room changes, particularly when Admissions staff are unavailable.
• Complete concierge follow-up forms within 48 hours of new admissions and before scheduled discharges.
• Submit daily progress reports to administration, highlighting trends or concerns.
• Coordinate with laundry to retrieve belongings for readmitted residents.
• Organize and distribute thoughtful discharge gift bags, including ordering supplies.
• Schedule and oversee smoking sessions for designated residents.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting required.
• Prior hospitality or concierge experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Compassionate, proactive, and professional demeanor.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
