Description:Our Medical Scribe will be responsible for accurate and detailed clinical documentation, working closely with our Orthopedic doctors. Scribe will review clinical schedules and prep documentation for the providerAccompany provider into the exam room and transcribe/ document into eCW (EMR) while the provider is completing their exam and recommendations, completes clinic notes, labs and orders for the provider to review and signThe Scribe does not provide direct patient care, diagnose or order independentlyReviews and identifies pertinent info in the chart at the provider’s directionFollows HIPAA and documentation compliance standardsMonitors patient schedule and workques throughout the day to ensure provider is prepped for clinical needs. Demonstrates attention to detailCompletes other tasks as directed by management.Attends staff meetings and continuing educationRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in healthcare (or degree in progress) requiredAnatomy & Physiology, medical terminology, orthopedics coursework or experience preferred Ability to handle high volume of patients and multitask in fast paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills including EMR and MS OfficeAble to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline.Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality of patient, patient account, and personal dataCommitment to excellence, high standards, and continuously improving the quality of care provided to patientsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
