We are currently seeking an Industrial Maintenance Site Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations at the site level, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company and client expectations. The Site Manager provides strategic leadership, manages multi-discipline maintenance teams, and drives continuous improvement across mechanical, electrical, and material handling operations. The ideal candidate is an accomplished leader with strong technical knowledge, proven organizational skills, and an unwavering commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
Qualification Standards:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 5 years in a site management or senior supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-discipline maintenance teams in manufacturing, chemical, refining, or heavy industrial environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and soft craft operations within an industrial maintenance environment.
- Experience in KPI (Key Performance Indicator) management and data driven decision making to improve operational performance.
- Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and P&IDs.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis, reliability centered maintenance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- OSHA 30 or other relevant safety certification.
- Other Requirements:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:
- Site Leadership & Oversight:
- Direct all maintenance operations and personnel on site, ensuring activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company and client expectations.
- Manage daily maintenance planning and scheduling, coordinating mechanical, electrical, and soft craft teams to meet operational targets.
- Serve as the primary liaison between maintenance, operations, and client representatives to ensure clear communication and consistent performance.
- Establish site performance objectives and monitor progress toward reliability, cost, and productivity goals.
- Maintenance Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Oversee work performed by maintenance crafts, including Boilermakers, Millwrights, Mechanics, Electricians, and support personnel.
- Ensure that maintenance activities are planned, resourced, and executed to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Evaluate and optimize maintenance processes, materials, and resource utilization to improve efficiency.
- Material Handling Operations:
- Provide leadership and oversight to the Material Handling department to ensure optimal performance in product production, packaging, storage, and distribution operations.
- Ensure that all material handling systems, conveyors, packaging lines, and storage equipment are properly maintained to support safe and efficient plant operations.
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to improve flow, reliability, and uptime of material handling systems.
- KPI Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Develop, track, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure site performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions to address recurring issues.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all site maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
- Lead safety meetings, audits, and inspections to promote a zero-incident culture.
- Investigate incidents or near misses and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Financial & Resources Management:
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls for maintenance operations.
- Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and contracted services while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Support capital and maintenance project planning and execution.
- People Leadership & Development:
- Supervise and mentor maintenance supervisors, foremen, and craft personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training and development programs to strengthen team capability.
- Promote teamwork, employee engagement, and open communication across all levels of the maintenance organization.
