Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-kindergarten 4 (Pre-K 4) Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that foster curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Responsibilities
- Implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and classroom management strategies.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that stimulate cognitive, emotional, and physical development, including toddler care and preschool teaching techniques.
- Use child development instruction principles to tailor lessons that meet individual learning styles and developmental stages.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress through assessments, standardized testing, and ongoing observations.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold child welfare standards at all times.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education practices, including curriculum development and classroom management.
- Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; familiarity with Reggio methods is a plus.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques and child welfare protocols to create a safe learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math fundamentals, physical education, and childhood development concepts.
- Knowledge of special education strategies and early intervention approaches to support diverse learners.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; understanding of mandated reporting laws is required.
- Experience with classroom experience in private schools or daycare centers is preferred;
