Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment for children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom.
- Supervise children at all times while following Louisiana childcare licensing regulations and safety procedures.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Complete daily reports and classroom documentation.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding each child’s progress and daily activities.
- Work collaboratively with the Director and teaching team to provide high-quality childcare.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CDA Credential, Early Childhood Education coursework, or previous childcare experience preferred.
- Experience working in a daycare, childcare center, preschool, Head Start, or early learning program is a plus.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks.
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Dependable, patient, professional, and passionate about working with children.
