Your Role as a Maintenance Director:
- Oversee and perform maintenance and repair of facility equipment, systems, and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and attractive environment
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding building safety and maintenance
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution
- Supervise and schedule maintenance staff, providing clear direction and training as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment inventories
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and inspections
- Support a positive and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff through high-quality facility upkeep
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in a maintenance-related field preferred
- Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
- Knowledge of building systems, mechanical operations, and preventative maintenance practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems efficiently and safely
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with experience supervising staff preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff
- A positive attitude and dedication to providing excellent service
