We’re seeking a Security Department Training Supervisor to lead the development, delivery, and documentation of training for contract security personnel at an assigned client site. In this role, you’ll ensure officers are fully trained, compliant, and prepared to meet company standards and the client’s operational, safety, and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific security training programs (new hire onboarding and refresher training).
- Deliver classroom, field, and on-the-job training aligned to company policies and client post orders.
- Train personnel on manufacturing/industrial procedures, access control, patrol methods, and emergency response.
- Track and maintain training documentation, certifications, licenses, and required qualifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including safety and emergency preparedness standards.
- Partner with site leadership and client contacts to assess training needs tied to operational changes, audits, incidents, and performance gaps.
- Conduct evaluations, drills, and practical assessments to confirm proficiency in site procedures.
- Coach and mentor officers; provide readiness feedback and corrective training recommendations to management.
- Prepare and submit training reports and audit/compliance documentation; keep materials and lesson plans current.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (post-secondary education or formal training experience preferred).
- 2–3 years of experience in security operations, supervision, or training roles (manufacturing/industrial environment preferred).
- Experience conducting structured training, orientations, or instructional sessions.
- Working knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, access control, and patrol operations within industrial facilities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently at client sites and interact professionally with client stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Security training certifications and/or instructor credentials.
- OSHA safety awareness or emergency preparedness training experience.
- Experience supporting contract security services in a client-facing role.
Working Conditions
- On-site presence at an active facility.
- Flexible scheduling may be required, including nights or weekends, based on training needs and client operations.
- Ability to stand, walk, and conduct field-based training across the facility.
