The Opportunity
Lead a cross-functional team working across backend and frontend systems that power a modern satellite operations platform. You’ll guide delivery, support engineering culture, and stay close to the code while helping the team scale.
⚙️What You’ll Do
- Manage planning, delivery, and team capacity
- Contribute ~10 hours/week of hands-on coding
- Support on-call processes, incident response, and post-mortems
- Mentor engineers and support their growth
- Align with product and engineering leaders on roadmap and architecture
- Communicate plans to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with Product on requirements and prioritization
- Contribute to engineering and product documentation
🎯What You’ll Bring
- Experience managing software engineering teams (~10-20 ) in a scale-up or high-growth environment
- Strong software development background across multiple languages, frameworks and libraries (Python and React primarily)
- Experience with backend, frontend, and modern software practices
- Knowledge of Agile and full SDLC
- Clear communication and stakeholder alignment skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Nice to have: aerospace exposure or experience working with government customers
